Mel Dorman
Mel Dorman is a financial activist, TEDx speaker (selected as Editor’s Pick), and founder of the Seller Financing Academy. After working as a social worker and barely scraping by in her twenties, Mel used creative financing—particularly seller-financed deals—to build a multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio in just five years.
Now she teaches others to do the same through her signature 90-day program, which guides students through finding off-market deals, negotiating win-win terms, and building wealth rooted in community, not institutions.
Her work blends behavioral psychology, justice-oriented strategy, and personal storytelling to make wealth-building radically accessible—especially for those who don't fit into the current system.
